The Department for Transport has announced a proposal under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to make an Order authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped area of Colin Campbell Court’s car park. This area lies to the west of Colin Campbell House in the City of Plymouth. The proposed Order is intended to facilitate development, contingent upon planning permission being granted by Plymouth City Council.

The Secretary of State has issued a draft Order under Section 253 (1) of the Act. Interested parties can inspect copies of the draft Order and relevant plan at Plymouth Central Library, Maxell House, 167-171 Armada Way, Plymouth, PL1 1HZ. These documents will be available during normal opening hours for a period of 28 days starting from 19 June 2026.

Individuals wishing to object to the proposed Order must submit their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State. Correspondence should be directed to nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or sent by post to the National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ. All objections must be received by midnight on 17 July 2026 and should quote reference SUO4660913.
