A public inquiry concerning planning appeals by Mr John Croke is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 10am. The event will be held at the Council Chamber of the Borough of Broxbourne Council, located at Bishops College, Church Gate EN8 9XQ.

The inquiry addresses appeals against enforcement notices issued by Broxbourne Borough Council. These notices allege that there has been an increase in ground levels through the importation and processing of inert waste without the necessary planning permission. The site in question is adjacent to Darcy’s Place, Little Broomfield, Church Lane, Wormley EN10 7QF.

An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State under paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 6 to the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 will preside over the proceedings to determine the outcome of these appeals.

Members of the public are invited to attend the inquiry and may express their views at the discretion of the Inspector. Those requiring special accommodations due to disabilities are advised to contact the Council in advance to ensure appropriate arrangements can be made, such as parking spaces and seating.

Documents related to the appeals can be reviewed at the Council's offices by prior arrangement.
