A man police want to speak to about an assault in Reading

Police have released images of a man they want to speak to after a member of staff was punched in the face in a shop in Caversham.

The incident happened at 6.20pm on Wednesday, February 14, in the Co-op store in Henley Road.

A man was seen trying to leave the shop with items he had not paid for.

When he was challenged by staff, he punched one of them in the face and left.

Investigating officer PC Joe Stafford, based at the police station in Reading, Berkshire, said: "I believe that the individual in these CCTV images could have vital information that may help this investigation."
