Canefields Avenue pedestrian restriction for sewer repair
Temporary pedestrian restriction on Canefields Avenue for sewer repair from 25 June.

Plymouth City Council has announced a temporary restriction of pedestrians on Canefields Avenue due to essential sewer repair work. This measure is in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 and will be in effect from 25 June 2026 until 7 August 2026. The affected footpath runs between the rear of number 33 Meadowfield Place and 87 Canefields Avenue.

The restriction will be enforced 24 hours a day to facilitate the necessary repairs and diversion works. Residents and pedestrians are advised to plan alternative routes during this period.

For further information regarding the works, individuals can contact South West Water at 0344 346 2020. The notice was issued by the Director for Growth at Plymouth City Council, Ballard House, Plymouth, PL1 3BJ, and was published in The Herald on 22 June 2026.
