A body was discovered in a derelict building in Three Mile Cross, Berkshire.

Police officers were called to the building in Basingstoke Road at around 2.30pm on Sunday, November 26, after a member of the public found what they believed to be a dead body.

A tweet for the Wokingham police team on Sunday said: "Sadly police responded to a call to a person who passed away in 3MX (Three Mile Cross) this afternoon.
"This is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

"Officers are speaking with the family members."

The sex and age of the person who has died has yet to be confirmed.

Officers had initially called South Central Ambulance Service but crews were not required to attend.

People living nearby reported a heavy police presence in the Three Mile Cross area yesterday following the incident.
