Plymouth City Council has announced several planning applications concerning listed buildings and conservation areas under the Town & Country Planning Act 1990. These applications include variations and new proposals that aim to modify existing structures while preserving their historical significance.
One of the key applications, referenced as 26/01265/S19 & 26/01264/S73, pertains to Building N186 at Devonport Dockyard. This application seeks to vary Condition 1 of previously approved plans (24/01076/LBC & 25/00018/FUL) to allow amendments to the roof refurbishment scheme. Proposed changes include revised companionway and access arrangements, edge protection, gutter and drainage details, along with associated construction details.
Another application, 26/01306/LBC, involves the replacement of front and rear timber windows at 1 St Andrew Street. This proposal aims to maintain the aesthetic integrity of the building while ensuring modern standards of insulation and security.
Additionally, The Bank on Old George Street has submitted two related applications. Application 26/01269/FUL proposes the erection of handrails at the main entrance and a timber pergola with fixed seating in the rear garden. Meanwhile, application 26/01280/LBC seeks Listed Building Consent for internal refurbishment works alongside the installation of handrails at the main entrance.
These applications are available for public viewing online at Plymouth's Planning Portal. Internet access is also provided at all Plymouth Libraries for those wishing to review the documents in person. Members of the public are encouraged to submit their representations regarding these proposals within 21 days from the date of this notice.
