Broxbourne Borough Council has received two significant planning applications under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. These proposals involve major developments in Cheshunt and Broxbourne.

The first application concerns the demolition of existing school buildings at Haileybury Turnford on Mill Lane, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire EN8 0JU. The plan includes constructing a new part two-storey, part three-storey school building. This development will also feature associated external landscaping works, partial relocation of the existing car park, and other related works. Additionally, temporary structures such as a two-storey accommodation block, a single-storey reception block, a staff car park, and a construction compound are proposed for use during the construction period. This project is classified as a major development with reference number 07/26/0709/F.

The second application involves the demolition of existing buildings on Beaumont Road, Broxbourne EN10 7QJ. The proposal seeks to change the use of the site to dog boarding kennels. It includes the erection of a kennels barn, an office and dog grooming building, a transport vehicle and equipment storage building, a dog agility enclosed run, and a two-bedroom residential dwelling with associated access and parking. This is also considered a major development with reference number 07/26/0403/F.
