The closures are necessary to facilitate essential works on or near these roads.

The affected roads include:

  • Hall Lane, Great Hormead: Closed from its junction with B1038 Conduit Lane for its entire length. No alternative route is available.
  • Archers Green Lane, Tewin: Closed from its junction with B1000 Hertford Road to Grass Warren. An alternative route is via B1000 Hertford Road, Churchfield Road and Archers Green Lane.
  • Tewin Hill, Tewin: Closed from Bramfield Road to Upper Green. An alternative route is via Bramfield Road, Burnham Green Road, Orchard Road and Upper Green.
  • Unnamed road (3U40), Wellpond Green/Little Hadham: Closed from Bromley Lane to Little Hadham Public Bridleway. An alternative route is via Bromley Lane and New Road.

Additionally, Nether Street in Widford will be closed for utility service works from 12 October 2026 for approximately six days. Woodstock Road in Broxbourne will also face closures with waiting restrictions while works are in progress.

In Stapleford, Bullsmill Lane will be closed for overhead cabling works with an alternative route via A119 High Road. Gobions Lane will be closed for bridge inspection works with an alternative route provided.

These orders are valid for a period of 18 months but the works are scheduled to take between one to six days depending on the location. Signs will indicate the specific days and times of the closures.

For further details or queries regarding these orders, residents can contact Hertfordshire County Council or the respective project managers listed in the notice.
