In Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, two significant developments have been announced concerning local infrastructure. These involve drainage improvement works on College Road and a confirmed public path order in Hoddesdon.

Drainage Improvement Works at College Road

The Environment Agency has announced plans to carry out improvement works on a debris screen located on the College Brook at College Road, Churchgate. The project includes replacing the existing inlet screen with a new debris screen that complies with the latest technical guidance. Additionally, new working platforms will be installed to facilitate maintenance, along with fencing to enhance public safety.

The Environment Agency has determined that these works will not significantly impact the environment and thus will not prepare an Environmental Statement. An Environmental Action Plan has been developed to mitigate any potential environmental risks during construction. This plan includes measures for pollution prevention and biosecurity procedures to prevent the spread of invasive species.

Residents wishing to comment on the environmental effects of these proposed works can submit their representations in writing within 30 days of this notice's publication. Further details are available from Vinicius Delboni, Project Manager at the Environment Agency.

Public Path Order Confirmation in Hoddesdon

Broxbourne Borough Council has confirmed a public path diversion order under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The order affects a footpath running from TL 3662 0914 westwards for approximately 320 metres to reconnect with Hoddesdon Restricted Byway 7.

The confirmed order can be viewed at Broxbourne Borough Council offices during regular business hours. The order will take effect once the council certifies compliance with its terms. Individuals aggrieved by this order may apply to the High Court within six weeks of this notice's publication date.

These developments reflect ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and accessibility in Broxbourne, ensuring both environmental considerations and community needs are addressed.
