Devon County Council has announced a proposal to introduce new traffic regulations under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The proposed changes aim to implement 'No Waiting At Any Time' restrictions across various locations in Devon.

In Bishopsteignton, the restrictions will affect Fore Street, Murley Crescent, Shute Hill, Teign View Road, and West Street. Dawlish will see similar restrictions on Barton Crescent and Barton Villas. In Exminster, Milbury Farm Meadow is included in the proposal.

Kenton will experience a revocation of the existing 'No Waiting 9am-6pm' restriction on a specified length of The Triangle. Kingsteignton's affected areas include Furze Cap, Road from Gallows Cross to New Cross, and Strap Lane. Newton Abbot will have restrictions on Aller Brake Road, Broadlands Avenue, College Road, Kiln Orchard, St Lukes Road, and Teign Road. Lastly, Teigngrace will see changes on the road from Teignbridge Gate to Gallows Cross.

The usual exemptions will apply where appropriate, including allowances for picking up or setting down passengers, loading or unloading goods, and vehicles for disabled persons.

Interested parties can view the draft order and related documents at devon.cc/alwrp or during normal office hours at Devon Libraries. Objections or comments must be submitted in writing by 1 October 2026 to the address provided or via the website.

Submissions will be anonymised before being reviewed by the Highways & Traffic Orders Committee (HATOC) members. Personal data will be handled according to the Privacy Notice available at devon.cc/troprivacy.
