The Department for Transport has announced the approval of an order under Section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. This order, titled "The Diversion of Highway (South West) (No.18) Order 2026," authorises the stopping up and diversion of a section of footpath connecting Culver Way to Orchard Avenue in Plymouth. The diversion is necessary to facilitate development permitted by Plymouth City Council under reference 25/01103/FUL.
Copies of the order can be obtained free of charge from the Secretary of State's Transport Infrastructure Planning Casework Unit by quoting SUO2070097. They are also available for inspection at Plymouth Central Library during normal opening hours.
